Job Summary:

 

Primary focus will be to service the existing business, operationally and financially, while maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new business where possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The FSD is responsible for implementing the buildings Fire Safety Plan in the event of a fire or smoke condition. The position of Fire Safety Director (FSD) is an integral part of the Fire Department of the City of New Yorks (FDNY) strategy to ensure the safety of the occupants of high rise office buildings.Submits numerous Fire Safety/Emergency Action Plan (FS/EAP)
  • Duties involves, respond to and resolve any emergency situation that will arise, daily and incident report writing, monthly fire extinguisher gage check up, Phase 1 & Phase 2 elevator testing, lamp testing, lock interrogation, safe and lock reprogramming and the monitoring of surveillance systems.
  • Plans (required by law) for applicable buildings to FDNY for acceptance by FDNY
  • Consults with customer regarding FS/EAP issues Consults and establishes emergency action planning with customer
  • Manages staff onsite.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • EAP/FSD Certificate of Fitness
  • 5+ Years of supervisory experience
  • Law Enforcement Background, FDNY or NYPD preferred
  • Strong Customer/Tenant Interface
  • Strong Client Service Experience

Compensation

Harvard is offering a competitive salary of $22 an hour with applicable benefits.
